The biggest problem that gamers face these days is the infamous content burnout. This is especially prominent in games such as World of Warcraft. Over the past several years to relieve people of a content burnout a “challenge” was formulated. This is the World of Warcraft Ironman Challenge.

The rules of this challenge are as follows:

-Start at level 1 (no hero classes)

-You may only use white and gray rarity items, no Heirlooms of any kind

-No dungeons, raids, arenas, or battlegrounds

-No potions, flasks, or elixirs except for required quest items

-All mounts are allowed

-No transfer of gear, items, or money from any other character

-No specializations, talents, or glyphs

-No gear enhancements, including gems and enchanting (class abilities such as rogue poisons and shaman imbues are allowed)

-No professions or secondary

-No food buffs or other external buffs (including buffs from items and other players)

-No groups or assistance from other characters

-No Refer-A-Friend

-All quests including holiday events and dailies are allowed with the exception of profession quests

-And Finally Death is permanent, death for any reason fails the challenge

Of course upon reaching maximum level you have completed the challenge, and may then equip gear above white quality. This challenge has truly revitalized the leveling experience for many players, and will keep people on their toes for years to come.
